pooh bear speaks

I'm not a writer and I'm not creative but I love to tell stories. Chismis? Nope....It's for real...It's what I see/perceive/observe around me. As what s'M said, "pintasera" daw ako....actually, I just love observing people, no harm intended =).

My friend's wedding prep and big day!

This is a long overdue story but still I want to share it with you guys!

The Bridal Shower (Jan. 19, 2005)

I'm so excited. This is the first time that I'm going to attend a bridal shower. I don't know what to expect but for sure it'll be fun!

Meeting Time is 7pm, dinner at Outback. The bride to be arrived first at the venue, looking harassed! They're super hungry already that's why they're having the appetizer na. Then one by one the attendees arrived. Picture taking muna...

Afterwards, it's kwentuhan time! Oops...we have to order first hehe. Ok now back to kwentuhan....A lot of stories about the wedding prep. Grabe, the bride to be had a major prob! 3 nights before the wedding and all the gowns and barongs are not yet made. So we decided to make her night memorable ;-) .... we gave her a gift...kinky but cute hehe....with matching honeymoon tips as part of the dedication hehe... here it is

After dinner, we went to.......Hmmm...secret! hehehe...All I can say is that I did enjoy the night ;-)

The Wedding Day (Jan. 22, 2005)

The couple is a college friend of mine. I'm one of the lucky few who witnessed their love story. Their story is a living proof that "love is lovelier the second time around".

The wedding is at San Agustin church Intramuros, Manila. 2:30pm. Three of their college friends, including me, are part of their entourage. Minnie is the veil spponsor, D and me are the bridesmaids. The three of us are very cautious in walking down the aisle...especially me...my gown is quite long and the safety pin that we used to adjust the skirt is not doing its part well hehe. So I walked slowly down the aisle. Buti nalang hindi ako nadapa hehe. Here's a shot of the entourage. Aren't they beautiful? =)

Our friend Popo, whom we seldom see, was there but she's not coming to the reception so we maximize the time that we're together.

Reception is at Fernwood Garden. The place is so beautiful. There are parrots, swans and fishes that adds beauty to the place.

The food is sumptuous! The centerpiece is very unique. It has a dragonfly made up of beads.

The throwing of bouquet and garter is unique. The bride distributed 24 roses to single ladies. The rose is covered with red paper and sealed with red string. The ladies should uncover the rose. The lady who has the longest string is the lucky girl! =)

For the men, oh well, I can't explain the detailed mechanics coz I'm busy distributing the give aways at that time. But I saw them blow a balloon. I guess the gentleman who has the longest balloon wins.

It's uwian time! We called a taxi to fetch us and drop us one by one. Naku, masyadong mareklamo yung taxi driver! Ginawa daw siyang door to door. Sus! Kala mo naman hindi siya babayaran at bibigyan ng tip! Ayun when D, she was the last to get off, gave her much more than the fare, biglang bumait!

I arrived home very late, around 1am already. I chat with my mom first and show her the pictures I got before going to bed.

After months of preparation of the couple, finally the wedding turned out very well! Congrats to the new couple! May you live happily ever after =)
